Woman retaliates, strikes hubby to death
A 57-year-old woman from Shamva is in trouble after allegedly killing her husband following a dispute over an inverter.
Esther Bwanause is assisting police with investigations after reportedly fatally assaulting her husband with a brick.
Acting Mashonaland Central police spokesperson, Sergeant Major Samuel Chikasha, confirmed the incident.
"I can confirm a murder case in Shamva where a wife fatally assaulted her husband following a dispute over an inverter," Chikasha said.
It is alleged that Enoch Mazvidza accused his wife of lending his inverter to their daughter, leading to a heated argument.
Mazvidza reportedly assaulted his wife with a wooden stick, and she retaliated by striking him with a brick, fatally injuring him. He lost consciousness after the attack and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
